Using an emergency bill in the final hours of the session, the casino industry won a hearing to debate the number of large-scale solar facilities NV Energy will build in the coming years. The bill, introduced Monday by Assembly Speaker John Hambrick, set up an Eleventh-Hour battle battle between clean energy advocates and the casino industry to debate how much generating output the utility should build and charge ratepayers for in the coming years.
