Evolution Gaming’s Q3 profit up two-thirds on stellar mobile performance

Live dealer casino specialists Evolution Gaming’s plans for world domination continued uninterrupted during the third quarter of 2015 as revenue, earnings and profits were all up sharply.

In the three months ending Sept. 30, Evolution’s revenue rose 57% to €19.5m, while adjusted earnings were up 60% to €7.8m and profit increased by two-thirds to €5.8m.

Evolution CEO Jens von Bahr credited mobile gaming with being the “main driving force” of the company’s strong performance. Mobile went from 12% of Evolution licensees’ Q3 2014 gaming revenue to 28% this year – a 260% improvement.

Von Bahr said Evolution’s growth was derived primarily from existing customers, but the company went on a client-signing binge during Q3, adding Genting, Adjarabet and Marathonbet. Evolution also entered into a strategic alliance with platform provider Microgaming, becoming the preferred Live Casino provider for Microgaming’s European customers, including Betway, which is just getting ready to launch.
