Malta’s iGaming industry raises €15,000 for charity

Members of Malta’s iGaming industry spent a day under the sun to raise funds for local charities.

Last September, about 15 gaming-related companies in Malta competed against each other—all in good fun, of course—to raise €15,000 for three philanthropic organizations: Re/Max and Friends Foundation, Puttinu Cares, and Inspire.

The event, called Malta Sports Day, was a brainchild of Matching Visions VEO Dennis Dyhr-Hansen along with Ramona Mifsud, Christian Ellul, Erik Gjerde, Jeremy Broad, Jeremy Charles Grech, Eman Pulis and Kevin Buttigieg. According to the organizers, the idea was to bring the iGaming industry closer by participating in friendly competitions—mainly in sports activities—for good cause.

iGame Group finished in the first place after overwhelming their competitions in the 60m hurdles, ladies event, potato race, 1kg and 2kg shot put events, and the tug of war game. But at the end of the day, organizers and participants said it was the local charity that emerged victorious.
