Matchbook Traders Conference donates ticket proceeds to Right To Play charity

The first annual Matchbook Traders Conference which took place last week saw sports bettors from across the globe come together to learn and share their experiences in sports trading, and  support Right To Play who were presented with a cheque of funds raised from ticket sales which has been accepted by Neil Child-Dyer, Partnerships Manager at the charity.

With operations in more than 20 countries Right To Play reach 1 million children in weekly activities. Their mission to use sport and play to educate and empower children living in adversity to overcome the effects of poverty, conflict & disease, has become invaluable to many.

The £5,000 donated by Matchbook could give 1,000 children who have fled from violence the chance of a new life.Children who have had their childhoods stolen by war will be given weekly lessons in how to peacefully resolve conflict, enabling them to rediscover hope and start to foster more peaceful communities. By teaching children to break the cycle of violence we create a safer world for all of us.

Matchbook are pleased that their first ever Traders Conference was able to support such a worthy cause both financially through ticket sales but also raising awareness of the charity amongst over 400 attendees from the sports trading world.
