Excitement over the record-breaking Powerball jackpot has reached a fever pitch as Multi-State Lottery Association officials upped the grand prize to $900 million on Saturday. Until now, the largest Powerball jackpot was $590 million rom May of 2013; of course, the actual winnings would have been significantly lower than that after Uncle Sam took his share.
