WSOP Day #36 Review: Anthony Zinno On Top of the World

Lee Davy brings you his recap of the 36th day of action at the 46th Annual World Series of Poker, and all anybody cares about this morning is Anthony Zinno.

When Anthony Zinno pulls on that grey suit, and knots that blue tie you had better worry. It’s final table time and he doesn’t often leave without all of the chips.

The 33-year old from Boston has called his recent run of form a ‘statistical anomaly’. He has also bowed down to the luck that is needed to have had the results he has had. But let’s not forget that this is a man with an obsession. He is a raging pursuer of poker titles. He is the peacock, and nobody seems able to ruffle his feathers.

After eight years of trying, Zinno has finally won a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. It came in the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) event – the highest buy-in event for PLO in WSOP history – and in his fifth final table of the summer.
